Hello Bloom is a community events resource run by volunteer members of the Bloom Social Committee for the Bloom neighborhood in Fort Collins, Colorado. This page explains what information we collect and how it's used.

Visitors

You can browse events on this site without creating an account. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't run analytics on visitor behavior.

Event content

When a committee member creates or edits an event, the title, description, date, location, and any photo they upload are stored and shown publicly on this site.

Email alerts

Hello Bloom offers an opt-in email program covering events the Bloom Social Committee organizes itself (tagged “Bloom Event” on the site) — not the third-party events we share for reference. Emails may include event announcements and reminders, post-event follow-ups, and requests for feedback or event ideas. Signing up requires your affirmative opt-in, and we confirm every address before sending anything to it: if you never click the confirmation link, you never hear from us. We don't enroll anyone automatically.

You can sign up for everything, or for a single event you care about. Where an event repeats, you can choose which individual dates you want to hear about, and we only email you about the ones you picked.

We collect your email address and first name to send you these emails and to address you by name. We also store which events and dates you asked about, so we know what to send you. We don't use this information for any other purpose, and we don't sell, rent, trade, or share your email address, name, or any other personal information with third parties, including the neighborhood's developer, builder, or HOA, for marketing or any other purpose.

This is a two-way program: if you reply to one of our emails, your reply (and the address it came from) is stored and read by a committee member so they can follow up. Replies aren't used for any automated purpose.

Email frequency varies depending on upcoming neighborhood events. Every email includes a link to change what you receive or unsubscribe entirely, and your mail provider's own unsubscribe button works too. You can also email hello@hellobloom.club and we'll take care of it.

Service providers

We use a small number of third-party services to run the site. This includes a database host to store event data, an email provider to deliver sign-in links and event alerts, and a file storage provider to host event photos. These providers process data only as needed to provide those services.
